چکیده
To overcome the challenge of upcycling plastic waste into 3-D printing filament in distributed recycling and additive manufacturing systems, this study designs, builds, tests validates an open source diameter sensor for winding machines. The modular system multi-axis optical control recycled 3-D-printer makes it possible to analyze surface structure processed filament, save history measurements along entire length spool, as well mark defective areas. is developed independent module integrated a recyclebot. was tested on different kinds polymers (ABS, PLA) sources (recycled prints virgin waste) colors including clear plastic. results using camera were compared with manual measurements, obtained one-dimensional digital light caliper. found that sensing method allows users obtain significantly more information comparison basic sensors received data not only accurate but also detailed analysis surface. ensures greater availability plastics technologies community stimulates growth composite materials creation. presented can greatly enhance user possibilities serve starting point complete will regulate motor parameters achieve desired acceptable deviations even extrusion rate printer recover from irregularities.

Historically, standardized test parts are used to quantitatively evaluate the performance of a machine or process. While several different additive manufacturing (AM) test parts have been developed in the past, there are no current standard test parts. This paper reviews existing AM test parts, discusses the purposes of the studies, and describes important features and characteristics found in ...
متن کاملUtilizing cable winding and industrial robots to facilitate the manufacturing of electric machines
Cable wound electric machines are used mainly for high voltage and direct-drive applications. They can be found in areas such as wind power, hydropower, wave power and high-voltage motors. Compared to conventional winding techniques, cable winding includes fewer manufacturing steps and is therefore likely to be better suited for automated production. Automation of the cable winding production s...
